BUILDING A STRONG NETWORK: WHY THE CONNECTIONS YOU MAKE ALONG THE WAY ARE VERY IMPORTANT

Every day is an opportunity to grow your network! Building meaningful relationships throughout your career is a great way to evolve professionally. Take advantage of work-related projects and other challenging tasks will allow you to demonstrate work ethics such as: being a team player, leadership skills and responsibility. How you handle these things are an example of your character and how you may approach to a handling a variety of other situations.

As you interact within your professional community, your constant dealings with others will begin to build a reputation with your colleagues, vendors, customers etc. Your routine behaviors will register with others and begin to reveal the traits and habits that describe you best. Having others within your professional community that can attest to your work ethics, character and skills strengths is very important. These individuals are potential references.

Many career opportunities come from word of mouth or simply knowing someone. Be the person others want to refer! There are some people who you will definitely want in your corner in the future however, the feeling should be mutual. Be sure to carry yourself as such. Greatness begets greatness!

Sometimes it's not what you know but who you know!

Tip:

I highly recommend using websites such as LinkedIn to GET NOTICED, BUILD YOUR NETWORK and CONNECT WITH OTHERS.
